ADA, Mich. - The IU Kokomo men's golf team closed out their fifth competition Tuesday at the 54-hole Egypt Valley Championship, held at the Egypt Valley Country Club in Ada, Michigan.
The Cougars totaled an overall score of 992 (325-347-320) over the course of two days and three rounds to finish sixth overall. Taylor University would take the overall team title with an overall score of 937, seven-strokes in front of the 2nd place team Bethel (IN). .
The Cougars were led by sophomore
Cole Collins who shot an overall score of 245 (+29), good for T-18. Collins finished out the final round shooting a 78, which was his lowest for the two days of competition.
Sophomore
Oliver Gearlds and senior
Ryder Jones would both shoot an overall score of 250 (+34), which was good for T-28. Gearlds would card a final round score of 78 while Jones turned in an 83.
Junior
Hayden Williamson delivered an overall score of 252 (+36), finishing right behind his teammates right at 30th. He would card a final round score of 84 to end the week of competition.
Sophomore
Luke Watson rounded out the Cougars with an overall score of 259 (+43), shooting a final round 81.

The Cougars are back in action for their final tournament of the fall season on October 14th and 15th at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana.
