KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo men's basketball program has officially released its 2026-27 schedule, as the Cougars are coming off a 2025-26 campaign that saw them claim the River States Conference West Division title, advance to the RSC Tournament championship game, and make an appearance in the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship Opening Round.

IU Kokomo is set to play 12 regular season games inside the Student Activities & Events Center on the campus of IUK in 2026-27, including eight River States Conference contests. The Cougars will play 16 conference games in total as they look to build on a run of seven consecutive 20-win seasons.

The Cougars will open the season at home against Michigan-Dearborn on October 28th before traveling to NCAA Division I University of Evansville on November 2nd for an exhibition matchup at the Ford Center. The exhibition will feature a familiar face on the opposing sideline, as former IU Kokomo assistant coach DJ Balentine is now a member of the Evansville coaching staff and remains the Purple Aces' all-time leading scorer.

IU Kokomo's non-conference slate will feature three neutral-site tournaments, including a trip to Kingsport, Tennessee, during Thanksgiving week to compete in "The Show" on November 28th and 29th. The Cougars will also play a pair of neutral-site games at the University of Rio Grande on November 20th and 21st before closing the calendar year with the Hampton Inn & Suites Titan Classic in South Bend, Indiana, on December 29th and 30th.

River States Conference play begins December 3rd when IU Kokomo welcomes Saint Mary-of-the-Woods to the SAEC. The Cougars will play two conference contests in December before entering the heart of the RSC schedule in January and February. The regular season is scheduled to conclude February 20th when IU Kokomo hosts IU Columbus for Senior Day.

The River States Conference Championship is set to begin following the conclusion of the regular season, with the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship Opening Round following in March.
