KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's soccer program has officially released its 2026 regular season schedule, as the Cougars are coming off a 2025 campaign that saw them post their third 10-win season in the last five years.
Head coach Sohaila Akhavein's squad is set to play eight regular season matches at Kokomo Municipal Stadium in 2026, including five River States Conference contests. Homecoming Week will feature a conference showdown against IU East on October 1st, while the Cougars will look to continue their recent success after earning a berth in the River States Conference Tournament a season ago.
IU Kokomo will open the 2026 season on August 20th when they travel to St. Louis, Missouri for a pair of matches against Harris-Stowe State and Mission University. The Cougars will then return home the following week for their home opener against Michigan-Dearborn on August 25th before continuing a stretch of non-conference contests that will prepare them for conference play.
The 2026 slate features an equal split of non-conference and River States Conference matches, highlighted by non-conference matchups against Georgetown (Ky.), IU Northwest, and mount Vernon Nazarane (Ohio). IU Kokomo will once again face all eight conference opponents during the regular season, with league play beginning in September and the Cougars looking to position themselves for another run in the River States Conference Tournament.
The River States Conference Tournament is scheduled to begin in November, with the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round following later in the month at campus sites across the country.
