MARION, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's cross country team opened up their 2025 season Friday evening in Marion, as they competed in the 21-team Indiana Wesleyan Twilight Invitational.

THE RUNDOWN
- The Cougars placed 10th overall with a combined team time of 2:04:08.3, while Taylor University claimed the team title with 38 points.
- The following Cougars had personal bests Friday evening: Alysha Crouch, Amber Detmer, Ashley Vasquez-Rivera, Ava Jefferis, Courtney Adams, Erica Grubbs, Kadence Hoover, Kaylee Futrell, Keeley Carpenter, Leslie Sprankles, and Rachel Eby.
- Senior Leslie Sprankles led the Cougars with a 49th-place finish, clocking in at 24:15.00.
- Sophomore Alysha Crouch followed in 57th with a time of 24:21.90 followed by Cougar freshman Kadence Hoover in 63rd, crossing the line at 24:32.60.
- Freshman Courtney Adams was the fourth IU Kokomo runner to finish, finishing in 95th place with a time of 25:19.80.
- Rounding out the top five for the Cougars was freshman Amber Detmer, who finished 108th with a time of 25:39.00.
