MARION, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo men's cross country team kicked off their 2025 season Friday evening in Marion, as they competed in the 20-team Indiana Wesleyan Twilight Invitational.

THE RUNDOWN
- IU Kokomo placed 14th overall with a program-record team time of 2:13:05.2. Host Indiana Wesleyan claimed the team title with 42 points.
- A total of 12 Cougars set personal bests in the season opener: Alex Ryker, Charlie Conkle, Daylen Schrock, Drew Lovelace, Isaiah Moore, Jacob Bumgardner, Jaxsen Muncie, Jeremiah Miles, Karter Jackson, Kyle Thibideau, Steven Case, and Travis Hoffman.
- Freshman Karter Jackson led the Cougars in his collegiate debut, clocking 26:25.90 to finish 89th.
- Junior Steven Case followed close behind in 92nd with a time of 26:29.90, while junior Drew Lovelace was next in 94th at 26:32.50.
- Senior Bryce Stateler and freshman Jeremiah Miles rounded out the Cougars top five with Stateler finishing 105th with a time of 26:44.60, and Miles finishing 114th with a time of 26:52.30.
