ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Indiana University Kokomo Men's Outdoor Track & Field team competed Friday and Saturday in NCAA Division II Grand Valley State's Early Meet.
Evan Gaylor and the entire throws team led the men over the weekend in Michigan, as Gaylor set a new school record while competing in Hammer Throw (Invitational) Friday. Gaylor finished fourth with a mark of 53.08 meters, currently good for second in the River States Conference and 16th in the NAIA.
Junior Gabe Wedmore finished one spot behind Gaylor in Hammer Throw (Invitational), delivering a throw of 52.83 meters to now sit second all-time in the program's record books.
Fellow thrower
Seth Ireland excelled Saturday in Discus (Open), finishing fifth with a toss of 45.40 meters to move to second all-time in school history. Seth's brother Isaac climbed the record boards himself over the weekend in Hammer Throw (Open), as he finished 8th with a throw of 45.06 meters, good for third in the program's record books.
IU Kokomo's 4x400 meter relay team of
Aldan Zolman,
Rico Ortiz,
Brayden Voght, and
Isaiah Belcher impressed with a second-place finish, crossing the line in a time of 3:25.28 to move to second all-time in school history.
Jackson Money is now fourth all-time in Triple Jump in the program record books, finishing with a mark of 12.23 meters.
Tyree Cuffle finished narrowly behind Money in fifth with a jump of 12.22 meters.

The Cougars will return to action next Friday and Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan for the Little State Championships.
