DANIELS, W. Va. - The IU Kokomo women's golfers returned to the Cobb course at Glade Springs Golf Resort early Tuesday morning to finish up round one and tee off for the final round of the 2024 River States Conference Fall Preview.
At the conclusion of the opening round, IU Kokomo was fourth of eight teams, having shot a 351 (+63). Tuesday's final round was shortened to nine holes due to more inclement weather in the area, as the Cougs shot a 175 (+31) in those final nine holes to finish fifth.
Midway won the team title by eight-strokes over second place Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, as the Eagles finished with a team total of 472 compared to a Pomeroy team total of 480.
Hailey Stegemann and Anna Hutchings finished within a stroke of each other, as Stegemann finished the 27-holes at +17 while Hutchings was +18.
After an opening round 91 (+19),
Carly Chandler shot a 46 (+10) to finish T-29.
Freshman
Stefanie Dickerson concluded her first RSC Fall Preview two strokes back of Chandler in 31st, carding rounds of 93 (+21) and 46 (+10).
The fifth and final Cougar competing in West Virginia this week was
Chloe Crook. Crook shot a 92 (+20) in the first round before delivering a 48 (+12) in Tuesday's final nine holes.
The Cougars have two tournaments remaining this fall, with the next one being the John Carroll Women's Fall Invitational on October 5th and 6th in University Heights, Ohio.
