DANIELS, W. Va. - The IU Kokomo women's golf team closed out the 36-hole River States Conference Fall Preview Tuesday, held in West Virginia at The Resort at Glade Springs.

THE RUNDOWN 

• The Cougars opened with a first-round score of 334, placing them in a tie for fourth with Oakland City. They improved by four strokes in the final round, posting a 330 to finish fifth overall with a two-round total of 664 (+88), just five shots behind OCU. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods captured the team title with rounds of 331 and 306, finishing at 637 (+61). IU East took second place, followed by Midway in third.
• Sophomore Stefanie Dickerson led IU Kokomo in West Virginia, placing inside the Top 10 with a tie for eighth. She carded rounds of 78 and 83 for a two-round total of 161 (+17).
• Chloe McFaddin continued her strong start to her collegiate career in her River States Conference debut, improving by seven strokes from the first to the second round. She posted scores of 86 and 79 for a two-round total of 165 (+21), finishing in a tie for 14th.
• Carly Chandler finished just behind McFaddin, tying for 17th place with rounds of 85 and 82 for a two-round total of 167 (+23).
• Freshman Noelle Hutchings provided the Cougars' fourth and final counting score of the tournament, finishing in a tie for 27th with rounds of 85 and 86 for a two-round total of 171 (+27).

Stefanie and Carly both had career bests, and Noelle had an impressive performance in her first conference tournament.
