Daniels, W. Va. - The IU Kokomo women's golf team opened the River States Conference Fall Preview Tuesday, held at Glade Springs Golf Resort in Daniels, West Virginia.
Tuesday's opening round was brought to a halt with storms in the area, as a majority of competitors still needed to complete at least one hole. The opening round will resume at 7:30 AM, while the final round will begin as scheduled at 9:00 AM.
Hailey Stegemann was leading the way for the Cougars when the storms hit, sitting T-14 at +9 with two holes to finish,
Anna Hutchings is T-24 and +12 with just one hole to complete in her opening round.
Sophomore classmates
Carly Chandler and
Chloe Crook were the lone Cougs to complete the first round, and they are within one stroke of each other in 35th and 36th respectively. Chandler shot an opening round 91 (+19) while Crook turned in a 92 (+20).
Freshman
Stefanie Dickerson got her first taste of River States Conference competition Tuesday. She finds herself in 38th at +21 with one hole to play in her opening round.
