RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's golf team competed in the IU East Fall Invitational Friday and Saturday, where junior transfer
Hailey Stegemann impressed in a big way while leading the squad to a seventh-place finish.
The Cougars shot a final round 342 to finish with a two-round total of 679. IU East took home the team title with two-round total of 621, six strokes-clear of second-place Trine.
As mentioned,
Hailey Stegemann finished T-2 to earn All-Tournament Team honors in her first tournament as a Cougar. She paired her opening round 75 (+3) with a final round 77 (+5), good for a total of 152 (+8).
Freshman
Stefanie Dickerson delivered consistent play throughout her 36 holes, carding consecutive rounds of 87 (+15) in her first collegiate tournament.
Returner
Carly Chandler was two strokes better in the final round, shooting an 87 (+15) to close her tournament with a total of 176 (+30).
Chloe Crook shot a final round 93 for a two-round total of 179, while teammate
Payton Moore shot a 91 to finish her first tournament with a total of 182.
Kendall Hlebasko finished the weekend with a two-round total of 202.Â
The Cougars return to action September 9th and 10th at Blackthorn Golf Club for Bethel's Battle at Blackthorn.
