KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo women's golf team closed out their fall portion of the 2024-2025 schedule Saturday with the final round of the inaugural Crimson Classic, hosted by IU Kokomo at Wildcat Creek Golf Course.
Hailey Stegemann found herself in a three-way playoff with IU East's Liv Sanders and Indiana Wesleyan's Claire Dubois, as all three finished with two-round totals of 144 (+10). Sanders would win the playoff, as she drilled a 54-foot birdie putt on the opening hole.
As a team, the Cougars finished in third with a two-round total of 668 (+92), having improved by 14 strokes from Friday's first round. IU East won the team title by three strokes over Indiana Wesleyan (B), closing out the weekend with a two-round total of 649 (+73).
Stegemann led the way for a young Cougars squad, firing consistent rounds of 77-77 to earn a spot in the playoff, ultimately finishing T-2.
Freshman
Stefanie Dickerson climbed three spots into the Top-10 with her final round 82 (+10), finishing T-8 with a two-round total of 166 (+22).
Anna Hutchings finished just outside the Top-10 in 12th, as she improved by four strokes with a final round 83 (+11), good for a two-round total of 170 (+26).
Chloe Crook delivered IU Kokomo's fourth and final counting score in the final round, carding an 84 (+12) to finish 14th with a two-round total of 178 (+34).
Carly Chandler rounded out the IU Kokomo lineup with a 16th-place finish and two-round total of 183 (+39).
