MIDWAY, Ky. - The Indiana University Kokomo's men's cross country team competed in their second meet of the year Saturday morning. The meet was hosted by Midway University, and served as an RSC Conference Preview meet. This course will host the Cougars again for the 2023 River States Conference Championships later this season.
The Cougars were led by freshman Jonas Brooks Saturday, as Brooks was the lone Cougar to set a personal-record on the very challenging Midway course. He finished 10th overall with a time of 26:45.4.
Sophomore Bryce Stateler was next to finish with another strong performance and time of 26:56.0.
Luis Saldana, Caleb Vogl, and Drew Lovelace rounded out the top-five finishers for IUK.
Here is what head Coach Josh Colvin had to say about the men's performance on Saturday: "We wanted to get a feel for what our conference course will be like in November. We had a tough day as we have some sickness, and guys coming back from injury. We hope we can get everyone healthy soon."

The Cougars will return to competition next Saturday, as they will travel to Louisville Kentucky to compete in the Live in the Lou Cross Country Classic.
