GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Cougar's cross country team was back in action on Saturday, as they competed in the fast race at the NAIA Great Lakes Cross Country Challenge.
The men's team set a program record in both total team time (2:13:12) and average time (26:38).
Sophomore
Bryce Stateler led the way for the Cougars with a personal record time of 26:24.80. This time moves Stateler up to third fastest individual in IUK history.
The next Cougar to finish was
Luis Saldana with a season best time of 26:27.40.
Freshmen
Steven Case continued his impressive debut season with a time of 26:35.00.
Jonas Brooks and
Cyrus Felger rounded out the program record top-five average for IUK.

Josh Colvin had to say about the men's performance on Saturday: "We competed against some of the top teams in the nation and we fared well. We need to keep this momentum going heading into the conference meet in two weeks."

The Cougars will be back in action on November 4th, as they travel to Midway, Kentucky, to compete in the 2023 River States Conference Cross Country Championships.
