OWENSBORO, Ky. - The IU Kokomo men's cross country team finished in third place out of 12 teams in Friday's Brescia University Invitational in Owensboro, Kentucky. The Cougars ran a program record 2:14.30 total team time, 1:11 seconds faster than the previous record.
IU East won the Brescia Invitational with a team score of 70. IU Kokomo finished in third with a team score of 74.
The Cougars average time Friday night of 26:54 was 14 seconds faster than the previous time, setting another program record.
Senior
Cyrus Felger led the men's team Friday evening and was the first of three IU Kokomo runners to finish inside the top-15. Felger finished in seventh place with a lifetime best 8k time of 26:28.30.
Drew Caldwell crossed the line in ninth for this third top-ten finish of the season. Drew finished with a time of 26:33.10.
Luis Saldana finished in 14th with a time of 26:57.20.Â
Bryce Jennings was the fourth Cougar runner to finish inside the top-20 Friday. Jennings ran a lifetime best time of 27:00.20 to finish in 16th.
Nathan Lozoya rounded out the IUK top-five with a 32nd place finish. Lozoya also ran a lifetime best time of 27:31.60.

Isaiah Kanable, Isiaiah Belcher,
Michael McMahan, and
Ethan Carmean all ran lifetime best times Friday evening.
The Cougars will next run in the NAIA Great Lakes Invitational on October 22nd in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
