Garcia Sets Program RBI Record in Rout of IU South Bend

KOKOMO, Ind. – The IU Kokomo baseball team dominated IU South Bend from start to finish in a 22-2 rout Tuesday evening, highlighted by a record-breaking performance from Jedvier Garcia. Garcia set the program's single-game RBI record with eight, while the Cougars also turned a rare 2-3-5 triple play in the eighth inning.

Garcia accounted for his eight RBI in a variety of ways—driving in one on a sacrifice fly, two on a single, three on a double, one on a triple, and another via walk—finishing a home run shy of the cycle.
