SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The IU Kokomo men's golf team competed in the 2025 Saints Classic, hosted by Holy Cross, on Monday and Tuesday at Warren Golf Course, holding their own in a competitive field of 11 teams.

THE RUNDOWN
- The Cougars opened the tournament with a 315, putting them in a tie for third heading into Tuesday's final round. They followed up with a 320 to finish with a two-round total of 635 (+67). Saint Xavier claimed the team title with a score of 622 (+54), just two strokes ahead of runner-up Grand Rapids CC, who finished at 624 (+56).
- Oliver Gearlds delivered an outstanding performance, securing a second-place finish with a two-round total of 153 (+11). He carded rounds of 75 and 78 to earn All-Tournament Team honors.
- Hayden Williamson also earned a spot in the top 10, finishing tied for seventh with back-to-back rounds of 78 for a two-round total of 156 (+14).
- There was a slight drop to the next Cougar on the leaderboard, as freshman Nathan Daugherty finished tied for 20th with consistent rounds of 82-82, totaling 164 (+22) for the tournament.
- Luke Watson and Lucas Miller rounded out the IU Kokomo lineup with T-32 and T-35 finishes, respectively. Watson posted a two-round total of 169 (+27), while Miller followed closely with a 171 (+29).
