FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Cougars were back in action Friday evening after a long Christmas break. The team traveled to Fort Wayne to compete in the Indiana Tech Invite. The Cougars had a full roster for the first time this season and were able to pick up right where they left off, breaking more records.  

Freshmen Sydney Duncan had another amazing performance as she hit the NAIA "B" Standard in shot-put, punching her ticket to the NAIA Indoor National Championships. Duncan's throw of 13.27m sets a new school record and was good for first overall in the meet. Duncan also had a stellar performance in the weight throw with a school record mark of 14.82m, which was good enough for a sixth-place finish. 

Junior Maddie Dotlich punched her own ticket to the NAIA Indoor National Championships by hitting the "B" Standard in the 3000m racewalk. Dotlich finished third overall with a time of 17:40.85.  

Freshmen Rebekah Ankrum stamped her name into the record book with a school record high jump of 1.49m. 

Leslie Sprankles had an impressive showing in the 800m with a first-place finish in a time of 2:27.29

The Cougars will be back in action next Friday, as they travel to Olivet Nazarene to compete in the ONU Invite.
