KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo Esports team completed an undefeated week of regular season openers across all three titles, Super Smash Bros, Overwatch, & Rocket League. The Cougars swept Concordia University - Wisconsin Friday night in the first regular season Rocket League matchup.

Game 1
To kick off the Rocket League teams' regular season, the Cougars were matched up against Concordia University - Wisconsin.  Game one was a tough battle between the teams as the game was scoreless for the first half.  Right around the half time mark, Astéri.x  (Jackson M.) was able to kick off the season scoring the Cougars first goal.  Quickly to follow, Trey [WhoGC] was able to follow up with a goal of his own.  This 2-0 lead was held for almost the remainder of the game until a goal was scored by Concordia to cut the lead in half right at the minute mark of the game.  The Cougars rallied their defense in the last minute and were able to keep the ball off of their side of the field for the remainder of the game, earning a 2-1 victory to start the series.

IU Kokomo wins 2-1.

Game 2
In the second game of the series, the Cougars got the memo that it was open season for their opponent's goal.  The team led off with three quick goals as Concordia's defense seemed to have lost their game-plan.  The Cougars went off for a 6-0 win on a sixteen-shot performance.  This game was led by team captain Astéri.x's 3 goal, 4 save performance. 

IU Kokomo wins 6-0.

Game 3
After an absolute blowout in game two, Concordia was on their last legs, but gave it their all to try and steal just one from IUK.  This match was a hard-fought defensive battle between both teams as neither team had scored until Trey [WhoGC] finally broke the ice and put IUK up with just 13 seconds remaining in regulation.  The Cougars would end up winning with a 2-0 victory after an own goal at the very last second of game three.

IU Kokomo wins 2-0 to complete the 3-0 sweep of the Falcons of Concordia University - Wisconsin.

The Cougars will return to action on Tuesday, as the Super Smash Bros team will battle Mount Union.
