KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo Esports team advanced to the Semifinals of NECC Navigator Divison Great Lakes Conference play yesterday evening, defeating Murray State University 3-0.
Head coach Nick Liegey's squad dominated the Racers of Murray State from the jump, managing to keep the Racers off the scoreboard on their way to a sweep in the best-of-five series.
IU Kokomo cruised to a 2-0 victory in game one, before winning game two 1-0 behind the strong play of Gavin McCrosson [zPunda], who led the Cougars with 18 eliminations in the second game.
Dylan Keever [Lookurdead] led the Cougars in a 3-0 game three win with 28 eliminations, while Alex Eubanks [BANKZ] recorded 25 eliminations and McCrosson [zPunda] added 22.
The Cougars will return to action November 30th, as the Overwatch team will compete against Missouri in the NECC Navigator Divison Great Lakes Conference Quartefinals.
