KOKOMO, Ind. - IU Kokomo Esports' Super Smash Bros squad picked up a 2-0 win over Concord University Grey, sweeping the Mountain Lions in the best-of-three series to return to the win column.

In what proved to be a tightly-contested opening game, Cody Kretz [Roo] won each of the last two battles by a score of 3-1 to give IU Kokomo a 12-11 game one win.

Zane Fritz [Ghost™] took the win in the first battle of game two while playing as Bowser before dropping the second battle to Samus, making way for Cody Kretz [Roo], who was playing as R.O.B.

Kretz took out both Samus and Bowser before falling to King K. Rool. Reece Pelgen [MasterReeceR59] stepped up and beat King K. Rool to clinch the victory for IU Kokomo.

Overall Cody Kretz [Roo] led the Cougars with 13 total knock outs while Zane Fritz [Ghost™] added six knock outs.

The IUK Super Smash Bros squad will return to action next Tuesday against Bryant and Stratton College at 8:00 PM.

The next IUK Esports team to compete will be the Overwatch team Park University Thursday evening.
