KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo Esports Rocket League team lost 3-1 to Carthage College Monday evening in a match that was rescheduled from Friday night.

Nick Liegey's squad started the best-of-five series the right way, eeking out a 2-1 game one win behind goals from Alex Rickey and Trey Ehman.

Trailing 1-0, the Firebirds of Carthage College took game two in dominant fashion, winning 6-2 to even the series at a game apiece.

Looking to bounce back from a game two loss, the Cougars dropped game three 3-2 to fall behind in the series, 2-1.

Needing to win game four in order to force a decisive fifth-game, IU Kokomo failed to score a goal on their way to a 3-0 game four loss and 3-1 series loss.

The Cougar Esports Overwatch squad will compete tomorrow, as they are set to take on Depauw University at 8:00 PM.
