The Cougars enter River States Conference play with a record of 7-7 after splitting four games last weekend. IU Kokomo lost both games to Madonna but took both games from Saint Francis (Ind.).
Tucker Platt has led IUK offensively, batting .410 with an on-base percentage of .558.
Riley Garczynski is fresh off of RSC Player of the Week honors after having three multi-hit games last weekend capped off with a three-hit game.
Oakland City enters the weekend with a record of 15-2, having lost a midweek game Tuesday at Bethel University (TN). 11 of the Mighty Oaks 17 games have come against in-state foes, and Oakland City is 10-1 in those games. Prior to this week's loss at Bethel, Oakland City had won seven-straight games.
IU Kokomo is 5-0 all-time against Oakland City with all five games coming in the last two seasons.
