KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo baseball team will look to build upon their 3-0 opening weekend as they return to Georgia for four-games at Truett McConnell Friday & Saturday.

The Cougars enter the week after impressing on opening weekend, earning three wins and scoring at least 14 runs in each of the three games. IU Kokomo beat Point University 14-2, Cumberland University 14-7, and St. Andrews University 15-2. The IUK pitching staff walked just six batters last week while allowing 22 hits and striking out 23. At the plate, the Cougars belted nine home-runs and had 35 hits.

Truett McConnell comes into the weekend series with an overall record of 6-1 and are winners of five-straight. The Bears took two of three games from River States Conference foe Rio Grande to open the season before beating Toccoa Falls College and sweeping Florida Palms. Truett McConnell is hitting .414 thus far in the season and has a team ERA of 4.09.

IU Kokomo is 5-1 all-time against Truett McConnell, and won last year's three-game series 2-1.
