KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo baseball team will host Madonna and Saint Francis (Ind.) Saturday and Sunday for a round-robin like weekend at the beautiful Kokomo Municipal Stadium. The Cougars will play two games against both teams.

The Cougars of IU Kokomo enter the weekend with .500 record of 5-5. Last weekend, IU Kokomo dropped three of four games at Middle Georgia State. Tucker Platt has led IU Kokomo at the plate this season with a .517 batting average and .641 on-base percentage. Sophomore LHP is fresh off of RSC Pitcher of the Week honors after a dominant outing last weekend.

Saint Francis comes into the weekend with a record of 5-3, but the Cougars of USF are winners of three-straight. Saint Francis took three of four from Tennessee Southern last weekend, winning the final game of the series 23-8. 

IU Kokomo is 1-0 all-time against Saint Francis, winning the lone matchup 20-4 back in April of 2019.

Madonna enters the week with a 1-3 record, winning their most recent game against St. Xavier (Ill.) 8-7 last Sunday. 

The Cougars are 0-1 all-time against Madonna, dropping a mid-week matchup to the Crusaders 5-4 last spring.
