KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo Esports team managed to stay atop the standings in Overwatch play, defeating the previously 2-1 Illinois State Redbirds to remain in first-place. 

IU Kokomo won each of the first two games by a score of 2-1, led by Alex Eubanks [BANKZ] who recorded the most damage in both games one and two.

Game three was also won by the Cougars, as they blanked the Redbirds 3-0 to complete the sweep in the best-of-five series. Gavin McCrosson [zPunda] led IU Kokomo in game three, recording the most damage and the second most eliminations.

Cody Kretz [ROO] recorded the most eliminations in all three games, while Sean Sonnenberg [JohnLemons] also recorded 18 eliminations in game two to tie Kretz for the team lead. 

The Cougars will return to action next Tuesday, as the Overwatch team will compete against in-state foe Depauw University.
