KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo Esports team earned a 2-0 win in a Super Smash Bros Crews matchup against Murray State Tuesday night, improving to 2-1 in SSBU Crews regular season matches.

Game 1
IUK layed out a lineup of Will [LilNeggy] as Ganondorf, Zane [Ghost] as Bowser, Cody [Roo] as R.O.B, and Reece [MasterReeceR59] as Terry.

The first matchup was [LilNeggy] v [Tube_of_Glue] who played as Bowser. This =proved to be a flawless game, leaving [LilNeggy] with three stocks. The next match was [LilNeggy] v [JakeChris2002], who played as Young Link. [LilNeggy] came out on top with two stocks to spare for the next match. The final match [LilNeggy] played this game was v [Trux], who played as Byleth. [Trux] won a flawless game with three stocks left.

IUK switched in [Ghost] to play [Trux]. [Ghost] won this match with one stock left. The next game for [Ghost] was against [KioskTheWarlord], who played as Hero. [KioskTheWarlord] won the match with one stock left. IUK switched in [Roo] to play [KioskTheWarlord]. This was a flawless win for [Roo], leaving them with three stocks left to win the first game.

IU Kokomo won round one with six stocks remaining.

Game 2
IUK kept the same players and lead with [MasterReeceR59] v [Tube_of_Glue], who played as King Dedede. [MasterReeceR59] came out on top and secured the first game with two stocks left. The next match was [MasterReeceR59] v [PrinceofChaos], who played as Bowser. [PrinceofChaos] won this match with one stock left.

IUK switched in [Roo] to play [PrinceofChaos]. [Roo] won this match with two stocks left. The next matchup was [Roo] v [JakeChris2002], who played as Young Link. [Roo] won the match with only one stock left. The last match of the night was [Roo] v [TwoHarp], who played as Link. [Roo] won this match and the game with one stock left, not losing any stocks in the final match.

IU Kokomo won round two with seven stocks remaining, and won the best of three series 2-0.

The Cougars will return to action Thursday evening, as they will battle Murray State once again, this time in an Overwatch matchup.
