Women's Basketball Ranked No. 14 in WBCA NAIA Academic Top 25

KOKOMO, Ind. – The Indiana University Kokomo women's basketball program has once again proven its commitment to excellence beyond the court, earning Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) NAIA Academic Top 25 recognition for the 2025-26 season.

The Cougars finished 14th among all NAIA women's basketball programs with a team grade-point average of 3.649, earning a spot among just 25 teams nationwide recognized by the WBCA. IU Kokomo was also the only River States Conference institution to earn a place in the NAIA Academic Top 25, further highlighting the program's commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on the court.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined grade-point averages, inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. Teams must post a combined GPA of at least 3.0 and be nominated by a head coach who is a member of the WBCA to be eligible for recognition. The 2025-26 season marks the 31st year the WBCA has compiled the Academic Top 25 honor rolls.

Under the leadership of head coach Lisa Pflueger, the Cougars continue to exemplify the balance between academic achievement and athletic success. The national recognition reflects the dedication of the program's student-athletes and coaching staff to maintaining excellence in the classroom while representing Indiana University Kokomo at a high level on the court.
