LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The IU Kokomo women's track and field was led by the throwers over the weekend at NCAA Division I Louisville, competing Thursday through Saturday as multiple Cougars delivered standout performances amongst loaded fields.

THE RUNDOWN
- Sydney Duncan, one of the NAIA's most dominant throwers, led the Cougars with a standout weekend against high-level Division I competition, recording top-10 finishes in all three throwing events while hitting the NAIA "A" standard in both discus and shot put. Duncan placed third in the discus with a mark of 47.85 meters, sixth in the shot put at 14.74 meters, and ninth in the hammer throw at 48.71 meters.
- Kaylee Futrell competed over the weekend and continued her strong progression in the pole vault, moving up to second all-time in IU Kokomo program history with her latest performance.
- Mia Bustos and Olivia Newcom rounded out the Cougars' strong shot put performances, both delivering solid marks in competition. Bustos finished 10th in the "B" section with a throw of 12.62 meters, a mark that moves her to third all-time in program history, while Newcom placed 18th with a mark of 11.84 meters, good for sixth all-time in the record books.
