KOKOMO, Ind. - IU Kokomo capped off Senior Night with a convincing 20-point win over IU Columbus. The team honored all five seniors before the game, and the four who suited up each scored in a memorable night.

THE RUNDOWN

• The first quarter was a back and forth affair for the majority of it, but IU Kokomo began to pull away a little at the end, claiming a 19-12 lead at the end of the quarter. 
• IU Columbus got right back into the game quickly in the second quarter, cutting the Cougar lead to two within a minute and a half. By the 3:54 mark, the game was knotted even at 28 points a piece. The teams traded the lead back and forth the rest of the quarter, but it was the Cougars taking a two point lead into the locker room. 
• The IU Kokomo women came out firing in the third quarter, extending their lead to as many as 13. The Crimson Pride began to cut into that lead once again however, getting the lead down to nine by the end of the quarter. 
• IU Columbus continued cutting into the lead as the fourth quarter began, as it was just a one-point Cougar lead when Coach Pflueger called a timeout at the 7:39 mark in the quarter. 
• The Cougars came out of the timeout firing, going on an 11-0 run over the next minute. From there, the ladies never looked back, extending their lead all the way to the 20-point final margin. 

LEADING THE CHARGE

• Despite it being a night for the seniors, it was sophomore Mackenzie York leading the way for the Cougars, scoring a career-high 22 points, dishing out six assists, and grabbing seven rebounds, all while playing a full 40 minutes. 
• Seniors Moriah Crawford and Mia Catey both scored in double figures on the night. Crawford had a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, while Catey had 10 points of her own. 
• The other two starters, Lexi DiOrio and Camryn Rector also found success scoring the ball, as DiOrio had 12 points, and Rector had 10 of her own to go along with seven assists. 
• Senior Anya Friend came off the bench and hit a trio of triples to give her nine points on the night. 
• Finally, senior Kailee "Tex" Moore scored her first collegiate points on the night with a long jumper in the second quarter!
