RIO GRANDE, Ohio - The IU Kokomo women's basketball team drops back down to 7-7 in River States Conference play after losing to #8 Rio Grande on the road Saturday afternoon.

THE RUNDOWN
- IU Kokomo struggled early in the Saturday matinee game, and Rio Grande took advantage of that, grabbing a 33-11 lead after the first quarter.
- It was more of the same in the second quarter from both squads. The Cougars struggled to get going, and the Red Storm stayed red hot, taking a 30 point lead into the locker room.
- The Cougars fought hard in the second half, but the eighth ranked Red Storm squad held their lead for the rest of the game, ultimately winning 96-53.
LEADING THE CHARGE
- Only two Cougars were in double figures in the contest, led by Millie Scorsone who had 13 points off the bench in just 14 minutes of play.
- Moriah Crawford was also in double digits, tallying 12 points of her own, to go along with her seven rebounds.
