ALLENDALE, Mich. - The IU Kokomo women's indoor track and field team traveled to Michigan Saturday to compete in Grand Valley State University's Bob Eubanks Open, with reigning NAIA Women's Shot Put National Champion
Sydney Duncan making her 2025–26 season throwing debut.

THE RUNDOWN
- Junior thrower Sydney Duncan led the Cougars on Saturday, turning in a standout performance in the throwing events. Duncan placed second in the invite-only shot put with a mark of 15.67 meters and followed it up with a third-place finish in the invite-only weight throw at 18.25 meters. After posting a personal-best mark, she currently ranks No. 1 in the NAIA in the shot put and No. 2 nationally in the weight throw. Sydney hit "A" standards in both events to punch her ticket to the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
- Sophomore Lily Greene tied her own school record in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.50 meters.
- Kaniah Davis-Muff posted a personal-best performance in the 600 meters, setting a new freshman record with an eighth-place finish in a time of 1:42.91. Teammate Erica Grubbs followed with a strong showing of her own, placing 13th while recording the fourth-fastest time in program history at 1:45.14.
- Mia Castillo moved up to fourth all-time in program history in the 200 meters, posting a time of 27.76.
