NEW ORLEANS, La. - The IU Kokomo men's and women's track and field teams have been named US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association NAIA All-Academic Teams, announced by the organization this past Monday, July 21.
In order to earn the honor, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's eligibility certificate for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
The IU Kokomo women's track and field team finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.36, while the men's track and field team closed the year with a cumulative GPA of 3.13.
Meanwhile, two-time National Champion Sydney Duncan also added to her long list of accolades this week, as the USTFCCCA announced she had been named NAIA Women's Track and Field Indoor Track Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Duncan, the 2025 NAIA Indoor and Outdoor National Champion in shot put, maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.988 to become the first student-athlete in program history to be named National Scholar Athlete in indoor track & field.
