KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo Volleyball team, led by Head Coach/Director of Athletics Heather Hayes, has announced the hiring of Sarah Morin as the program's newest Assistant Coach.

"Adding Sarah to our coaching staff is a full-circle moment," Hayes said. "During her time at IUK as a player, it was clear she had the qualities of a great coach—her understanding of the game, her work ethic, and her leadership. Now, after gaining valuable experience coaching at the DII level, she has returned ready to make an even bigger impact."

Morin returns to IU Kokomo after spending four years on the bench at UIndy, serving as both a Volunteer Assistant and Graduate Assistant. She played a role in recruiting efforts while handling camp efforts and logistics.

"I am excited to see her finding her voice in our gym," Hayes continued. "Her ability to connect with our players and her insight into the game will help take our team to the next level, both in skill and character."

Morin is a 2021 graduate of IU Kokomo, having played under Coach Hayes for four years. After earning her Bachelor's Degree in Sports and Recreation Management while at IUK, she then graduated in May of 2024 from the University of Indianapolis with a Master's Degree in Sports Management.

"I am thrilled to return to IUK in a new role as part of the coaching staff and have the privilege of working alongside Coach Hayes," Morin stated. "Few individuals are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to coach at their alma mater, and I am truly grateful for this opportunity to give back to the program in a different role. The program's unwavering commitment to excellence and its winning culture are what make it so special, and I am looking forward to being part of it."
