INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The IU Kokomo Women's Indoor Track and Field team competed at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Saturday as part of the 2025 Fairgrounds Invitational held inside the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavillion.
The NAIA's best female Shot Putter, IU Kokomo sophomore,
Sydney Duncan, won Shot Put and finished fifth in Weight Throw. Her tosses in the both events were good for new school records, placing her 10th in the entire NAIA in Weight Throw while already leading in Shot Put by 1.57 meters.
Jaydi Jones etched her name in the record books, as she broke the previous school record in the 400 meters with a time of 1:02.34. Jones also delivered the fourth best 200 meter time in program history, finishing in a time of 27.90 seconds.
Freshman
Keeley Carpenter turned in the fourth best 800 meter time in school history, as she crossed the line in a time of 2:37.26.
Faith Rock is now fourth all-time in the program record books for Weight Throw, turning a toss of 12.97 meters.
The Cougars will head to Marietta, Ohio, this week to compete in the 2025 River States Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday and Saturday.
