OAKLAND CITY, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo men's basketball team cruised to its fourth straight victory Tuesday evening, closing out 2025 with an 89-78 win over Cumberland University (Tenn.) at the Johnson Center.

THE RUNDOWN
- IU Kokomo set the tone early, building a fourteen point advantage with just under ten minutes remaining in the first half. Junior Ty Willis fueled the surge, scoring sixteen points before the break.
- The Cougars continued to apply pressure, extending the lead to twenty two points by halftime and entering the locker room ahead 50-28. Freshman Alonzo Clawson-Smith also had a strong first half, matching Willis with sixteen points.
- The second half followed a similar script as IU Kokomo pushed the margin to thirty points midway through the period.
- Cumberland made a late push, trimming the deficit to eleven in the closing minutes, but the Cougars maintained control down the stretch to secure the 89-78 victory.
LEADING THE CHARGE
- Three Cougars scored twenty two points apiece to lead the offensive effort. Willis added six rebounds and three steals, while senior Evan Kretz connected on five three-pointers, grabbed six rebounds, and recorded a team-high five steals.
- Kedric Anderson would chip in nine points off of the bench in the win.
