OWENSBORO, Ky. - The IU Kokomo men's basketball team opened 2026 Saturday afternoon with a road trip to Kentucky, looking for their first River States Conference victory of the season. The Cougars utilized a strong first half to propel themselves to a 14-point road win.

- Trailing 29-24 with under 10 minutes remaining in the first half, IU Kokomo closed out the period on a 13-5 run to take a 42-29 lead into halftime.
