FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IU Kokomo men's indoor track and field team opened their 2024-2025 season this past Friday, competing in Indiana Tech's Warrior Opener.
Freshman
Jamaree McClinton, a Kokomo native and KHS alum, burst onto the scene in his first collegiate meet, setting a new school record in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.93.
Sophomore
Steven Case set a new school record in the 1000 meters race with a time of 2:38.91.
Tanner Gibson turned in strong performances in both the 60 meters and 200 meters, where he is second all-time in both events.
Western High School product
Rhett Berryman finished fourth in the weight throw with a personal best mark of 14.94 meters, good for second all-time in program history.

The Cougars will be back in action next Friday, as they travel to Bloomington to compete in the Indiana Early Bird meet.
