DANIELS, W. Va. - The IU Kokomo women's soccer team took their two-match win-streak to West Virginia, looking to continue to climb the River States Conference standings with another win. The Cougars and Golden Bears of WVU Tech played to a scoreless draw however, making the Cougars 5-6-3 overall and 2-1-2 in RSC action.

IU Kokomo finished on top in both shots (10) and shots on goal (7), while goalkeeper Kailee Moore stopped all four WVU Tech shots on frame.

After a slow start to the match, the first shot on target from either side came in the 14th minute from IUK's Kelsi Hoot, as she forced the Golden Bear keeper to make a save. The Cougars did not earn a single corner kick in the opening 45 minutes, but did manage to put five shots on frame despite a scoreless first half.

Cougar goal-scoring leader Mackenzie Gibbons came ever so close to breaking the scoreless tie in the 63rd minute, sending a header off the crossbar. Another IUK header went off the crossbar and stayed out of the net in the 69th minute, this time coming from junior Kaiya Bogers.

IUK earned one more chance with a corner kick in the final minutes of the match, but were unable to capitalize as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

The Cougars will continue the streak of road matches this week, playing at Brescia Thursday before battling the league-leading Mighty Oaks in Oakland City on Saturday.
