The Cougars outshot Governor's State 21-7, but the Jaguars had five shots on goal compared to IU Kokomo's three.
The early minutes of the match were competitive, and IU Kokomo had chances in the sixth minute. However, it was Governor's State who would find the back of the net for the early lead.
