KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo Baseball team defeated Brescia back to back on Saturday, winning by scores of 9-3 and 9-0 to sweep the 3 game series. The Cougars rise to 23-17 overall and 13-18 in conference play.

Game One Offensively

• In the first inning, Riley Garczynski scored on a sacrifice fly from Nolan Bowser.
• In the third inning, Noah Hurlock hit an RBI double (Gavin Smith scored). Matt Iacobucci then hit an RBI single (Noah Hurlock scored).
• In the fourth, Riley Garczynki hit a 2 RBI double (Tahj Borom and Blake Kimball scored), followed by a 2 run homer from Thomas Obergfell (Riley Garczynski scored).
• Gavin Smith scored on an RBI single from Noah Hurlock in the sixth inning.
• In the seventh inning, Rilkey Garczynski hit an RBI single (Tahj Borom scored).
• Brescia scored 1 run in the first inning and 2 in the second.

Game One Pitching

• JT Holton started for IUK, pitching seven innings. Holton gave up 5 hits and 3 runs while walking 3 batters and striking out 7.
• Dylan Steele relieved Holton and closed for the Cougars, striking out 4 batters while giving up no hits.

Game Two Offensively

• In the second inning, Tucker Platt scored on an RBI groundout from Luke Barnes, followed by Dylan Janke scoring on a sacrifice fly from Gavin Smith.
• 6 runs came for the Cougars in the fourth inning, starting with a solo home run from Dylan Steele. Gavin Smith then homered with Luke Barnes on base. Tahj Borom scored on an RBI single from Riley Garczynski, who then scored on an RBI single from Nolan Bowser. Finally, Dylan Janke hit a sacrifice fly (Thomas Oberfell scored).
• IUK scored their 9th and final run of the game in the fifth inning on an RBI single from Blake Kimball (Tahj Borom scored).

Game Two Pitching

• Ben Harris pitched the entirety of game two for the Cougars. Harris gave up 3 hits without a walk or run and struck out 6 batters.

The Cougars have four road games next week, starting with an evening game at Grace College on Tuesday before a three game weekend series against Point Park University.
