KOKOMO, Ind. – The IU Kokomo women's basketball team will close out the season this week with a road game at Oakland City Tuesday before celebrating Senior Day Saturday with a home game against Brescia.

The IU Kokomo women's basketball team is coming off a week in which they played well, but ultimately suffered two losses to two of the better teams in the River States Conference. The Cougars lost by just three points Saturday at IU Southeast after losing to the Grenadiers by double-digits at home earlier this season.
IU Kokomo has been led by
Anya Friend and
Alaya Chapman. Friend is averaging ten points per game while Chapman is averaging eight points and five rebounds per game.
The Mighty Oaks of Oakland City enter the week with an overall record of 18-6 and an RSC mark of 13-3. Oakland City won 65-54 at IUK back in December, and won their last game at Brescia 94-70. The Mighty Oaks are led by a trio of players, Emilee Hope, Jalaya Dowell, and Davinique Campbell.
IU Kokomo is 2-4 all-time against Oakland City and have lost the last three matchups.
Brescia will visit Kokomo on Saturday as both teams are set to close out their season. The Bearcats have lost eight-straight and are 2-23 this season, including 1-15 in RSC play. IU Kokomo won at Brescia back in December, 72-61.
The Cougars are 9-6 all-time against the Bearcats of Brescia, and have won the last two matchups.
