Box Score PIPPA PASSES, Ky. - The IU Kokomo volleyball team extended their win-streak to 14 games with a dominant victory at Alice Lloyd Saturday. With the win, the Cougars improved to 19-3 overall, and 10-0 in River States Conference play.
Leading 7-3 early in the first set, IU Kokomo went on an 8-0 run, fueled by the strong-serving of
Tori Wilkinson, taking a 15-3 lead. The Cougars would cruise to a 25-8 opening set win.
In what was a bit more competitive start to set two, IUK led the Eagles 10-7 before gaining some distance by winning eight of the following nine points. IU Kokomo went on to win set two 25-12.
IU Kokomo opened the third set by winning the first seven points, taking a commanding 7-0 lead. Alice Lloyd cut the deficit to six at 15-9, but the Cougars would win 10 of the final 13 points to win the set 25-12 and the match 3-0.Â
The Cougars will return to the court Wednesday in Chicago for their final non-conference match of the regular season, as IU Kokomo will pay St. Xavier a visit for a 7:00 PM start.
