KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's basketball team is set to play two more River States Conference games this week, as they host Oakland City Tuesday and will play at Brescia Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars enter the week in search of their first win, having lost a tight-game at Midway last Tuesday before falling to IU Southeast at home on Saturday. This week's two matchups are the team's final conference matchups of 2022, as IUK will play three non-conference games to round out the year before returning to RSC play January 3rd.

Anya Friend is leading the team in scoring and is the only Cougar averaging double-figures, as she is averaging 12.7 ppg. 

Oakland City comes into Tuesday's matchup with an overall record of 8-2, and are undefeated at 3-0 in RSC play. The Mighty Oaks are currently receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Poll for the first time in program history. Oakland City has won four-straight games after their 87-82 loss to IU South Bend. The Mighty Oaks have three athletes averaging double-figures in points.

IU Kokomo is 2-3 all-time against Oakland City, and have dropped the last two matchups.

The Bearcats of Brescia University enter the week with a record of 1-11, and are winless in RSC action. The Bearcats have lost four-straight games after their lone win against Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg.

The Cougars are 8-6 all-time against the Bearcats, and won the last matchup by 17 points.
