Preview: Women's Basketball Set to Play Two Road Games Against In-State Foes This Week

KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's basketball team is set to play another pair of road games this week, this time against two in-state foes. The Cougars will play two more road games next week before their home opener November 17th against IU East.

IU Kokomo opened the season last week with two road games in Michigan. The Cougars fell to Michigan-Dearborn 53-50 in a tightly-contested matchup, before falling to Concordia (Mich.) Saturday evening 65-49.

Goshen College enters Wednesday's game with a record of 2-0. The Maple Leafs hosted the Ruth Gunden Memorial Classic this past weekend, beating William Jessup University (Calif.) 75-68 and Trinity International University 79-51.

IU Kokomo is 3-2 all-time against the Maple Leafs of Goshen. The Cougars disptached the Maple Leafs 76-68 last season for head coach John Kenger's first win at the helm of the program.

The Foresters of Huntington University come into the week with a 1-1 record. Huntington is set to travel to take on Oakland City Tuesday night, before hosting the Cougars Saturday evening. Huntington beat #24 ranked Indiana Tech 73-72 in the season opener before falling to Holy Cross College (Ind.) 64-61.

The Cougars are 1-1 all-time against Huntington, having beat the Foresters 62-47 last season to even the series.
