MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. & MARION, Ind. - The IU Kokomo women's track and field team competed in a pair of optional meets over Spring Break last week, with some Cougars traveling to Myrtle Beach while others stayed closer to home to compete in Marion over the weekend.

THE RUNDOWN

• In a relatively light week for the women's team, with only a few student-athletes competing, a pair of standout performances emerged.
• Mia Castillo impressed in the 400 meters in South Carolina, moving to third all-time in program history with a time of 1:02.92.
• Erica Grubbs delivered a strong performance in the 800 meters at Indiana Wesleyan over the weekend, finishing seventh out of 32 with a time of 2:24.92. Teammate Leslie Sprankles followed closely, placing ninth with a time of 2:25.99.
