KOKOMO, Ind. - The IU Kokomo men's basketball team will host Rio Grande on Saturday afternoon in a River States Conference Semifinal, with tipoff set for 3:00 PM inside the Student Activities and Events Center. The winner advances to Tuesday night's RSC Championship game and will face the victor of tomorrow's matchup between IU Southeast and Shawnee State.

IU Kokomo earned a hard-fought 76-71 win over WVU Tech on Wednesday night in an RSC Quarterfinal at home, holding off the Golden Bears after they erased a 15-point halftime deficit to briefly take a second-half lead.
The Cougars displayed a balanced effort in the victory, placing five players in double figures while six grabbed at least five rebounds.
Rio Grande enters Saturday playing its best basketball of the season, riding a four-game winning streak and claiming 10 victories in its last 12 contests. The RedStorm advanced to the semifinals with a 102-91 home win over SMWC in Wednesday night's quarterfinal round.
Leading the way is RSC Player and Newcomer of the Year Delon McCloud, a dynamic guard who poured in 37 points behind 10 three-pointers against the Cougars in the regular-season meeting.
IU Kokomo and Rio Grande met just once during the regular season in Ohio, where the RedStorm controlled the matchup and secured a 94-71 win on February 14th. The Cougars hold a 6-8 record all-time against Rio Grande, including a 4-3 mark at home.
In the lone meeting with the RedStorm, freshman guard Alonzo Clawson-Smith turned in an impressive performance, pouring in a team-high 23 points on 7-of-14 shooting while adding seven rebounds and four assists.
Fellow freshman Patric Matson contributed 16 points, and forward Joseph Annan Jr. added 11 points and six rebounds to round out the Cougars' top efforts.
