MOUNT VERNON, Ohio. - The Indiana University Kokomo women's soccer team dropped their final away non-conference match of the season Saturday afternoon, falling to a solid Mount Vernon Nazarene squad 2-0.

THE RUNDOWN
- Mount Vernon Nazarene controlled Saturday's match from the opening whistle, outshooting IU Kokomo 27-4 (20-4 SOG).
- The Cougars of MVNU scored less than 10 minutes in, as Chelsea Simpson found the back of the net in the ninth minute to give MVNU the early lead.
- Less than ten minutes later, MVNU struck again. In the 16th minute, Avery Erslan scored an unassisted goal to make it a two-goal cushion for the home-squad.
- Sohaila Akhavein's IU Kokomo squad did well to keep MVNU off the scoreboard for the final 73 minutes and change, but were unable to score and trim the deficit.
