KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University Kokomo men's basketball program has released their 2025 recruiting class, a class that features nine student-athletes, including eight freshmen and one transfer.

The Cougar men's basketball team is coming off a 2024-2025 season that saw them finish with an overall record of 21-9 and a River States Conference mark of 11-5. The 20-win season was the program's sixth-consecutive 20-win campaign.

Looking to return to the top of the River States Conference, eighth-year Head Coach Eric Echelbarger, alongside Assistant Coaches Tre'Quan Spivey and Lennon Hardy, are excited to welcome the 2025 class to campus.

2025 Recruiting Class:

Alonzo Clawson-Smith | Lafayette, IN | Lafayette Jefferson High School
Alonzo is set to join the IU Kokomo program this fall after recently graduating from Lafayette Jeff High School. A decorated multi-sport All-Conference standout in high school, Clawson-Smith was also named All-State Honorable Mention, earning Academic All-State honors and graduating with honors.

Clawson-Smith plans on majoring in Exercise Science at IU Kokomo.

Moses Haynes | New Palestine, IN | New Palestine High School
Moses will join the IU Kokomo family this fall as a freshman out of New Palestine High School. Haynes was an All-Conference athlete in high school, being named All-State Honorable Mention twice in basketball while also earning Academic All-State and graduating with Academic Honors.

Haynes intends on majoring in Accounting in his time at IU Kokomo.

Jake McGraw | Noblesville, IN | Clinton Prairie High School
Jake comes to IU Kokomo this fall after closing out his prep career at Clinton Prairie High School. McGraw holds the All-Time Scoring mark in Clinton County, earning multiple Player of the Year honors while leading his team to a State Championship appearance in 2025.

McGraw will study Business Management at IU Kokomo.

Jahmir Avery | Indianapolis, IN | Ben Davis High School
Jahmir is set to join the IU Kokomo program this fall after recently graduating from Ben Davis High School. A four-year basketball player for the Giants, Avery was a team captain who led his team in field goal percentage.

Avery plans on majoring in Business at IU Kokomo.

Patric Matson | Bedford, IN | Bedford North Lawrence High School
Patric will join the IU Kokomo family this fall as a freshman out of Bedford North Lawrence High School. Matson was an All-Conference athlete in high school, being named All-State Honorable Mention while also earning Academic All-State honors.

Matson intends on majoring in Business Management in his time at IU Kokomo.

Ty'Reese Burnett | Indianapolis, IN | Southport High School
Ty'Reese comes to IU Kokomo this fall after closing out his prep career at Southport High School. Burnett was four-year basketball player in high school, earning the "Triple A" award for his excellence in each of the three following categories: Academic, Athletic, Attitude.

Burnett will study Criminal Justice at IU Kokomo.

Jaylen Barbara | South Bend, IN | South Bend Riley High School
Jaylen is set to join the IU Kokomo program this fall after recently graduating from South Bend Riley High School. A decorated standout in high school, Barbara was named an Indiana All-Star after helping lead his team to a Regional title.

Barbara plans on majoring in Business at IU Kokomo.

Hayden Cook | Kokomo, IN | Northwestern High School
Hayden will stay close to home and join the IU Kokomo family this fall as a freshman out of Northwestern High School. Cook was a multi-sport All-Conference athlete in high school, earning Academic All-State honors in addition to being named Kokomo Tribune Athlete of the Year.

Cook intends on majoring in Business Management in his time at IU Kokomo.

VaSean Daniels | Indianapolis, IN | East-West University
VaSean will join the IUK basketball family this fall as he transfers in from East-West University. A former Lawrence Central standout, Daniels is looking forward to a fresh start and the opportunity to be in an environment where everyone wants to get better.

Daniels will study Computer Science at IU Kokomo.
