CINCINNATI, OH. - The IU Kokomo Women's Indoor Track and Field team opened their season Saturday at the MSJ University Fall Preview, earning a third-place finish and setting a new program record in the 4x200 meter relay.

THE RUNDOWN
- The Cougars would finish in third place out of seven teams with a team total of 74 points. Thomas More University would take the team title with 194 total points.
- IU Kokomo set a new school record in the women's 4x200 meter relay, as the team of Jaydi Jones, Kaniah Davis-Muff, Paige Brooks, and Mia Castillo posted a time of 1:52.61.
- Senior Leslie Sprankles delivered a strong performance in the women's 800, finishing second with a time of 2:25.82.
- Freshman Amber Detmer also earned a runner-up finish, placing second in the women's 3k with a time of 11:29.13.
- Sophomore Lily Greene added another second-place finish for the Cougars in the high jump, clearing 1.45m.
