BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Indiana University Kokomo men's basketball team claimed a hard-fought road win Saturday night, defeating Olivet Nazarene University on their home floor inside McHie Arena.

THE RUNDOWN
- The lead changed hands five times early before IU Kokomo began to take control with 7:53 remaining in the first half.
- The Cougars extended their advantage to eight with 2:55 left in the half, capped by a strong layup from Alonzo Clawson-Smith, and went into halftime holding a five-point lead.
- IU Kokomo maintained control for much of the second half, though Olivet Nazarene made a late push to take a one-point lead with 2:24 to play.
- The Cougars responded immediately, as Clawson-Smith scored inside to reclaim the lead, and Patric Matson drilled a clutch three-pointer to help seal a gritty 84-81 victory.
LEADING THE CHARGE
- Four Cougars scored in double figures, led by Alonzo Clawson-Smith, who continues to shine early in the season with a near triple-double of nineteen points, ten rebounds, and nine assists.
- Patric Matson caught fire from beyond the arc, hitting a game-high five three-pointers and finishing with seventeen points.
- Ty Willis added fourteen points and five assists, while Ibrahim Diakite contributed ten points and two blocks.
- Evan Kretz and Joseph Annan Jr. would chip in eight points each.
